Music has been part of my life, for, well, most of my life. I was forced into piano lessons, as many of us are, when I was young. Then, I played the guitar, not well, but I had fun with it.

As life progressed, I have been part of a band, which is actually more like a family. We have been playing for a couple decades together. I started out playing the guitar, but there were too many guitars. So, I decided I liked mandolins, so I taught myself mandolin. It is a great little eight string instrument.

My playing is so-so, but I love playing music with others, and on my own. Our band, the Countryside Garage Band, is very eclectic. Gypsy Jazz, ’60’s folk, reggae, classical, Celtic, blues, jazz, and more, all are in our repertoire.
